The Role of Thought

There is a distinct difference between “thinking positively” and “believing in the power of positive thinking”. One is active, one is passive. And then further, there is a difference between thinking positively and living positively. Living positively is much stronger. It takes away the ritual. It means putting your money where your mouth is, so to speak. It is the epitome of your actions speaking louder than your words.

Thought is a divine inspiration. It is given to you; it is not through your own power. If you trace back your thoughts one at a time, you will inevitably reach a point where you won’t know how one thought came to you at all.

For example you may have been thinking about Mexico. This may have been because you were thinking about birds that travel south. You might have been thinking about Winter, which made you think about the birds. You may have been thinking about winter because you have an event to attend in December, and were thinking about what the weather was going to be like. You might have been thinking about the event because you were looking at a calendar. As you travel up this chain of thought, you will find a thought whose origins you simply cannot explain.

Thought is Divine. When you’re open to the Power of God, your thoughts are direct communications from God to you. And your actions upon receiving those thoughts are the Work of God.
